This French guy is spending a lot of his free time for the community's (and his) good :)
He bought his Kuro-box HG in june 2005 and his first project was to create an all-in-one image for the Kuro-Box based on the original image ! This project (called sylver's image) is unmaintained to allow him to focus on his new project : building a debian image with the kuro-box's original administration pages !
He also have written some nice Debian related Article in the Wiki :
- Install udev on Debian without breaking the system
- Install avr_evtd instead of kuroevtd to handle buttons events
- Install usbmount for automatic USB devices mounting
- Improved Debian image made by Sylver
- Allow the HDD to spin down when it is not used
This guy have also made some nice contest entries :
- The Sekuro-box => 1st place of the contest
- Install Torrentflux Transmission SQLite => 3rd place of the contest
When the U-boot patch for the kurobox was released by Nijino, he compiled both version of u-boot (for Kuro-box and Kuro-box HG) and associated kernel image in uImage format and he asked Waite to test the Kuro-box version on his Kuro-box with JTAG ! As it worked straight, he decided to test the Kuro-box HG version on his hardware and it also worked well ! Thanks to Nijino, the Kuro-box is becoming a perfect hacking and testing platform !
