KuroBox Contest

April / May 2006 Contest is finished! Click here to see results!
May / June 2006
Entries must be in by July 1, 2006

Revolution by Buffalo is sponsoring a contest to find the most innovative use of a KuroBox. This includes both hardware and software based innovation.

Rules are as follows:

1. Development is not limited to any software or hardware direction. In other words, do whatever your creativity leads you to with whatever you can get your hands on in regards to software or hardware.

2. Your solution should operate on a KuroBox and/or KuroBox HG. Use any software you see fit. Source code and/or instructions must be available for evaluation.

3. Creativity and innovation are the most important aspects of this competition. Your solution needs to be interesting, useful, and fun. Mass-market appeal is not a major factor in our decision.

4. Your solution can be as simple as a streaming mp3 server for your home -- or as complex as a streaming mp3 player for your car that uses USB 802.11g to sync with your home network when in range, and is wirelessly controlled by a Nintendo DS running their new web-browser cartridge. Well, the DS web-browser cartridge won't be out until June, but you get the idea.

I hope we can get as many people involved as possible. We WILL hold another immediately following this one, so don't get discouraged if you're running low on time.

Prizes:

1st place (1 winner) gets a
Buffalo TeraStation Pro 1 TB NAS

2nd place (1 winner) gets a
Buffalo LinkTheater Media Player

3rd place (1 winner) gets a
Buffalo High-Power  Wireless Router and
Buffalo High-Power Ethernet Converter
